Lucas is so funny and sweet with all that he says...he is really speaking so well and sometimes it just baffles me what comes out of his mouth. This can be good or bad of course. Good in the fact that this morning he sat on my lap and said "you know what mommy? You are my best friend ever." Then an example of bad was the other day when a car cut me off and I had to slam on my breaks.. I had to take a reality check as to how I am talking when I heard what came out of his...oops.
But the other day leaving from Costco I had let a car go in front of me and this is how the conversation went... I just have to write this stuff down so I can always remember my little guy at this age
L:What are you doing Mommy?"
M: Letting that car go because they were here first."
L: Wow Mommy, that is so nice. You are really getting good at taking turns, I am so proud of you"
Such a love!

That last line made me laugh out loud. I think our kids are around the same age. I've been following your blog for a while. I really enjoy reading it. My son is 3 and my daughter is 15 months old. My daughter has tricuspid atresia too.

Thanks for the comments. We are obviously really nervous about the upcoming surgery, we don't really know what to expect. We appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers. Lucas is definitely "getting ready" for his surgery. We notice it more and more each day. He is such a little sweet heart. We love and appreciate all of our family, friends, and blog friends as we walk this journey.
