April 23, 2009 we welcomed our first child into the world. We are very excited to be parents, although quite nervous as he has a severe congenital heart defect called tricuspid atresia. This defect requires a series of three surgeries in order to allow the heart to function. We do not know what the future holds for our family, but we believe that he has being given to us for a reason, we are excited to show him a life of love and happiness.

Free Ride
Stepped away for a second to put in a load of laundry and Lucas was saying "all aboard" and catching a free ride on his sister. Disregard the blackberries that are all over his face. :)
Michelle, it's been a couple of months since I've seen your blog, my goodness the kiddos are getting big! And cuter too, how does that happen?? Josh used to hitch a ride on Sammy's walker too...pretty clever! :)
